Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
